A Festive Atmosphere & Award-winning Mexican Cuisine

Rosa Mexicano South Beach
1111 Lincoln Road, Miami, Florida

Situated at the west end of Lincoln Road in the 1111 building, Rosa Mexicano South Beach provides a warm and vibrant setting for award-winning authentic Mexican cuisine. The illuminated electric-blue tiled water wall features an intriguing array of illuminated figures and candles set among cascading water that brings a vibrant and seductive feel to the main dining room.

Warm terracottas and yellows enhanced with colorful accents are featured throughout the restaurant as well as traditional, one-of-a-kind Mexican crafts, fabrics and artwork. This combination creates the perfect backdrop for the festive atmosphere and innovative Mexican cuisine of Rosa Mexicano.

Rosa Mexicano was originally guided by the vision of Chef Christian Plotczyk and Culinary Director David Suarez. All of the award-winning Rosa Mexicano dishes remain faithful to their traditional roots while incorporating regional accents and inspired innovation.

You’ll experience that first hand when you try the Pomegranate Margaritas ($9.75) or Guacamole en Molcajete ($14.00), made in a traditional lava-rock mortar and prepared tableside.

When the first Rosa Mexicano location opened in 1984, New York Magazine applauded them for introducing New Yorkers to a “hitherto unfamiliar, elevated version of Mexican cuisine.” Most recently they redefined expectations in South Beach with authentic Mexican cooking in a stylish space and festive atmosphere. On a recent visit we started out with Flautas de Pollo ($9.00), three rolled crispy chicken tacos with salsa pasilla de Oaxaca, salsa verde, queso fresco and crema. For our main courses we enjoyed the Filite con Hongos ($28.50), a filet Mignon covered with a wild mushroom and tequila cream sauce and the Chile Ancho Relleno ($22.50), two ancho chiles stuffed with slow cooked marinated pork served over a black bean sauce and marinated red onions. Having thoroughly enjoyed dinner we pressed on and for dessert we loved the Churros Rellenos ($7.50), hot Mexican doughnuts filled with caramel and raspberry sauces, dusted with sugar and cinnamon and served with chocolate sauce for dipping!
