WITHDRAWAL AND UNCONDITIONAL APOLOGY

This week’s cover of the Florida Agenda has come under fire for what is widely considered inappropriate artwork accompanying the story of popular bartender Henry Vidal’s suspected homicide.

We apologize unconditionally for the publication of this choice of artwork and accept responsibility for the error in judgment. It was not our intention to add to the drama surrounding the emotional passing of this popular and beloved young man.

Both the cover and cover story were changed literally minutes before a late night printing deadline in order to report the breaking news that Mr. Vidal’s death had been ruled a homicide by the authorities. It was under these circumstances that a poor choice of artwork was made without the normal approval process of upper management.

The accompanying story and the tributes to Mr. Vidal were all factual.

The Florida Agenda will be donating $2,500 to the Reward Fund for information leading the arrest of the perpetrator in this case.
