ORLANDO—The Walt Disney World Resort is partnering with San Francisco’s Out & Equal’s LGBT Equality Institute to host a one-day workshop on inclusive workplaces.
The leadership and training workshop will take place on July 23.
“We are pleased to host and sponsor such an important gathering of employers who, like Disney, are committed to diverse and inclusive workplaces,’ said George Kalogridis, president of the Walt Disney World Resort, according Gay Star News. “Having employees with a broad range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives gives employers an advantage in understanding and meeting the needs of consumers, and it is important to remain focused on attracting and developing a diverse workforce at every level.”
In 2013, Kalogridis became Walt Disney World’s first openly gay president.
