CORAL GABLES — Friends and family gathered for a memorial Mass on Mar. 22 to remember the late Kristina Gomez, a transgender entertainer whose body was found in her Miami apartment on Feb. 15.
The service for Gomez, known to the public as Kristina Grant Infiniti, took place at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coral Gables.
Representatives from prominent LGBT organizations such as SAVE, Unity Coalition and Sunserve were on hand along with South Florida event promoter Milancita and Azukar club owner Ron Brenesky to pay their respects.
Miami-Dade police are treating Gomez’ death as a homicide.
