MIAMI BEACH–Miami Beach Gay Pride’s “Soirée,” the third annual VIP cocktail reception to raise funds for the 2016 Pride parade and festival will take place on Saturday, November 14 from 8 pm to 11 pm . The event will feature live jazz, premium open bar cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and take place at the recently reopened Miami Beach Women’s Club at 2401 Pinetree Drive.
In addition, “Soirée” will feature live painting by local Miami artists with the artwork to be auctioned off by the end of the event. Soirée will also be the official “coming out” party for Pride’s new Executive Director Dave Cook as well as the debut announcement of Pride’s new “give back to the community initiative.”
“The essence of Miami Beach Gay Pride is that it’s a celebration of the LGBTQ community, for the LGBTQ community and our allies,” said Mark Fernandes, Pride’s Board Chair. “As the event’s popularity and participation have grown exponentially in seven short years, so have the expenses to produce it. We’re committed to keeping Pride a free event for the community and fundraisers throughout the year like Soirée will help us continue to live up to that commitment.”
Celebrity hosts for Soirée include Lea Black, Roxanne Vargas, Craig Stevens, Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Grieco, and Christine Klingspor. Community hosts are Edison Farrow, Cindy Brown, Billy Kemp, Luis Morera, Liebe and Seth Gadinsky, Scott Hauser, Tony Ferro, Tom Donall, Michael Gongora, Jim Tyrrell, Jason DiBiaso and Roger Thomson.
Tickets for the event are $100 with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Miami Beach Gay Pride. To purchase tickets, visit miamibeachgaypride.brownpapertickets.com.
