A masquerade ball and fundraiser for Covenant House on Thursday, July 14, from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Johnny’s Fort Lauderdale, 1116 West Broward Boulevard.

FLORIDA LEATHER CANINE CONTEST

At Ramrod, 1508 NE 4th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, a benefit for The Pet Project on Sunday, July 10, starting at 8 p.m. Bring your “best friend” in his finest leather and perhaps he will win a spot in the 2012 Collar and Cuffs calendar. H BOXERS AND BRIEFS AUCTION Will be held at Bill’s on Wilton Drive on Monday, July 18, starting at 8 p.m. A benefit for Tuesday’s Angels. Featuring some of the hottest bartenders in South Florida. Nikki Adams of Broward House, Miss Kitty, Russell Matheny of The Stable and Greg Phelps from Georgie’s Alibi are this year’s auctioneers and Toni Barone is this year’s special guest emcee. This year will feature a live underwear auction, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.

Aqua Girl Weekend to Benefit Aqua Foundation

MIAMI, FL– Now through May 15th is Aqua Girl Weekend on South Beach, an annual fundraiser for the Aqua Foundation. 100% of the monies raised during Aqua Foundation’s signature week, as well as through individual and corporate donations, go directly to educate, empower and foster the lesbian, bisexual and transgender women’s communities throughout South Florida.

Aqua Girl 2011 will consist of 14 culturally diverse events for everyone to choose from. Aqua Girl is more than a party … it’s a week for

a cause.

Remaining events include:

• Happy Hours, through May 14th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Palace, 1200 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach. Join them for drinks and great drink prices at the only gay restaurant and bar on the beautiful and famous Ocean Drive.

• Traffic Jam, Thursday, May 12th, from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. at the Dream Nightclub, 1532 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach. This kick-off dance event lives by its name. Check out the colored glow necklace she’s wearing. Red means she’s taken, yellow means approach with  caution and green means “go for it!” Sexy go-go girls working the traffic all night. Outrageous performances by the hottest drag kings.  Girl deejays will keep the main floor jumping. Featuring deejays Brynn Taylor and Nena. $10 in advance/ $15 at the door. • Body Toning with Rachel Robinson on Friday, May 13th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Surfcomber Resort, 1717 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Rachel Robinson will bring her personalized workout “BodyToning-20 Minutes to the Body You Want” to Aqua Girl this year. Rachel will be personalizing a workout plan for every one that attends this work shop, as well as taking body fat analysis and setting people up for a healthier and happier life. • Splash Pool Party, Friday, May 13th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Surfcomber Resort, 1717 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. So many ladies from around the world, one pool party doesn’t seem to be enough. Get your favorite team colors and join Aqua Girl for one “sporty” day at the pool. Enjoy music, poolside games and don’t forget the eye candy. Doors open at noon. Featuring deejays Citizen Jane and G-Spot. $12 in advance/ $17 at the door, members: $9 in advance/ $12 at the door, Private Cabana: $300.

• A Night of Comedy with Suzanne Westenhoefer, Friday, May 13th, 8 to 10 p.m. at Unity on the Bay, 411 NE 21st Street, Miami. An evening of laughs with the first openly gay comedian to appear on television. You’ve seen her on Letterman, HBO, Bravo, Logo and GSN, as well as performances across the U.S.  Now come see her newest show – “Semi-Sweet” – live at Aqua Girl. The Miami Gay Men’s Chorus and Katie Wirsing open the show. $30 in advance/ $35 at the door. members: $25 in advance/ $30 at the door. • Havana Nights, Friday, May 13th, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. at Nikki Beach, 1 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach. Check your inhibitions at the door and pay tribute to the Latin flavors that have made Miami famous. Enjoy the sights and sizzling sounds of the tropics all in an upscale, sophisticated atmosphere. • Aqua Beach Pool Party, Saturday, May 14th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Surfcomber Resort, 1717 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Combine over 3,000 hot, scantily-clad women, stir in some cool poolside cocktails, groove to some high energy sounds of the best girl deejays in the country and sprinkle in hot performances by sexy go-go vixens, anything can happen. • Paradise Garage, Saturday, May 14th, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. at Grand Central, 697 N. Miami Avenue, Miami. An unforgettable, utopian experience of lights, sounds and visuals. This year they pay homage to NYC’s legendary Paradise Garage. Get ready for B-boys, B-girls, fashion show by 1160 Hair, G.A.G. and incredible dancers. Opening set by D.J. Latrice Perry and direct from Vegas, D.J. Lisa Pittman and special performance by national recording artist Nina Sky. • Jazz Brunch, Sunday, May 15th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Emeril’s Restaurant, 1601 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Unwind and enjoy fabulous food and a jazz performance as you mingle with all your new friends.  Sip on complimentary Bloody Marys. Latin Jazz performance by singing sensation Leslie Cartaya. This is a limited capacity event. $45 in advance/ $50 at the door.  MEMBERS: $40 in advance/ $45 at the door.

• Aqualicious Tea Dance, Sunday, May 15th, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Surfcomber Resort, 1717 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. The hottest co-ed party of the year just got a little hotter. Both the girls and our beautiful boys come out for a sizzling Sunday afternoon of great music and unity. This year, we are introducing international sensation D.J. Theresa (of Matinée fame) and D.J. Kidd Madonny as they mix a dynamic combination of classic and current house music. $20 in advance/ $25 at the door.  MEMBERS: $15 in advance/ $20 at the door, private cabana: $300.

• Afterglow, Sunday, May 15th, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Score Nightclub, 727 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. Keep dancing the night away at the official closing party. The hottest girl deejays hit the turntables spinning the ultimate blend of hip hop, freestyle and Miami Bass. Special performance by Miami rapper, Lady M.
