FLORIDA AIDS WALK
The Florida AIDS Walk is a 10k
walk (or optional 5k) fundraiser
to raise awareness and help
reverse the continuing epidemic
of HIV/AIDS in South Florida. 100
percent of the funds raised from
the Florida AIDS Walk stay right
here in Florida and will benefit
the AIDS Healthcare Foundation,
Broward House, the Pride Center
at Equality Park, SunServe, Latinos
Salud, the South Beach AIDS
Project, the Children’s Diagnostic
and Treatment Center, and other
local service organizations. This
community fundraising and
awareness event helps ensure the
expansion of HIV/AIDS testing,
education and prevention initiatives
in South Florida, and throughout
the State of Florida.
The Florida AIDS Walk also
benefits: LGBT education,
advocacy and services; specialized
services that meet the needs of
the economically disadvantaged,
marginalized youth, seniors and
peoples of differing abilities;
specialized, comprehensive care of
children and youth with HIV/AIDS in
a family-centered environment; and
improving the lives of individuals
living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.

GARY SANTIS PRESENTS “WHITE FORT LAUDERDALE”
The annual event that
traditionally kicks off the summer
season in South Florida returns on
Sunday, May 27. For 2012, White
Fort Lauderdale will be hosted
at The Manor Restaurant and
Complex in Wilton Manors, and
will feature DJs Manny Lehman
and Daisy Deadpetals with a special
concert by Prince Poppycock from
TV’s “America’s Got Talent.” Many
of South Florida’s greatest drag
entertainers will also perform,
with Kitty Meow, Daisy D, Sasha
