HOLLYWOOD, CA – According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have teamed together for a comedy project which has been awarded a pilot on NBC. DeGeneres’ own A Very Good Production company will produce the still unnamed show with DeGeneres acting as its executive producer. De Rossi will be the star of the series.
De Rossi is best known for her roles on Fox’s “Ally McBeal” and “Arrested Development,” and most recently starred on ABC’s short-lived comedy, “Better Off Ted.”
