1ST ANNUAL ITALIA FESTA
The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) will present their first Annual Italia Festa, a 5-day mini-festival celebrating nearly 60 years of Italian Cinema. UNREASONABLE DOUBT
The Actors’ Playhouse presents a new play Unreasonable Doubt, a dramatic play full of insight and compassion that takes an in-depth look at American justice and how it sometimes fails the society it’s meant to protect. South Florida playwright Michael McKeever’s Unreasonable Doubt was the winning play of Actors’ Playhouse Pen to Stage Contest in June 2008. 8 p.m. $50. ESCORTS
“Escorts” returns to the Rising Action Theatre. Last performed a year ago, this new, streamlined, pre-off Broadway version comes back to Fort Lauderdale before heading to New York. David Leddick has written a book about male escorts. Out of this book, if you can believe it, comes a new musical: “Escorts.” The show reveals the stories of sixteen male escorts in words, song, and dance and in the flesh. WOMEN’S NON-COMPETITIVE BASKETBALL

Goombay Street Festival
