
Tallahassee, FL – Republican Gov. Rick Scott is now officially trailing former Gov. Charlie Crist by 10 points, according to a new poll.
Released by Quinnipiac University, the poll shows Crist leading Scott 48 percent to 38 percent. The poll also found that 53 percent do not think Scott deserves a second term as governor, with 42 percent approving his current job.
The poll also found majority of Florida voters support same-sex marriage, with 56 percent in favor and 39 percent opposed. In women, the support for same-sex marriage was even higher, with 57 percent in favor, compared to the 55 percent of men.
Every age group that was polled supported same-sex marriage, sans voters over 65, who were 45 percent in favor with 49 percent opposed.
