Brian Neal Fitness & Health Foundation donor Gibson Leon Trust, managed by Tim Evans was startled and concerned about the SFGN article written on June 19, 2013 regarding the Foundation. Last week in the SFGN article regarding Tim Evans and the Gibson Leon Trust, after a phone conversation with Brian Neal, Mr. Evans has the following to restate about the Brian Neal Fitness & Health Foundation:
“Norm Kent was basically telling me that there were several others who were calling him and that he just wanted to see what checks I had donated to Brian and Bobby as he said some things to me that he said he couldn’t print due to not having proof or evidence. I would like to retract in the heat of anger the statement I made about fraud – I would also like to add that after reading the story from SFGN, it made us feel as if there was something wrong and as a trustee, I had to act on what could have been compromising the Trust in way of donations. I also retract our desire to call for a full accounting and refund request from the Neal Foundation at this time. As I was reassured by a call from Brian Neal on Thursday June 27, 2013 that satisfied our position as donors for the foundation, Brian apologized for excluding us, and explained the mix-ups and we are completely satisfied: They were just minor mistakes that were blown out if proportion by SFGN. We will continue to support the Brian Neal Foundation for all it does and all they help respectively. I also wish to add that if my story quotes in SFGN were misconstrued, it was due to the facts that were in the SFGN story.”
“I am so happy that I was able to speak to Tim Evans and personally apologize to him for forgetting to mention the Gibson Leon Trust in the recent Florida Agenda article that recognized and thanked our sponsors and donors,” said Brian Neal in a statement. “The incredible support that Tim and Gibby have so generously provided has made a big difference in helping people in our community, living with HIV and having access to health and wellness services. I am very happy that the Gibson Leon Trust has decided to continue to support the Brian Neal Fitness and Health Foundation.”
