Tampa, FL – Marco Rubio has been working to make sure that immigration reform legislation is passed, but wants to exclude any LGBT binational couples. Protestors showed up to interrupt Rubio’s speech during the Hillsborough County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner in Tampa on May 18. The activsts (who were linked to the organization GetEqual) shouted in protest, “Include our families in the immigration reform,” and, “All families matter!” Rubio may be  trying to win the Latino vote, but he is seemingly disconnected from the Latino community. In March, a poll was released showing that 64% of Latino voters support same-sex-marriage in the immigration reform.
