Dover, DE – Right on the heels of Rhode Island, Delaware will become the 11th state to allow same-sex marriages. State Senate gave the final legislative approval on Tuesday (after nearly three hours of debates) to the bill which will allow same-sex marriage. The bill will now go to Gov. Jack Markell (D), who has promised to sign it. While the bill doesn’t give any more rights or benefits under Delaware law than they already have with civil unions, but people say they want the title more than anything. They say that they deserve the same dignity and respect that heterosexual married couples receive.
