James Franco’s smoldering, sexy self will accept the Ally Award at the 15th Annual Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Franco has been a longtime supporter of LGBT rights, and has often been lauded as a sex symbol. The Exectuve Director of MGLFF, Franc Castro, released a statement touching on Franco’s achievement, but conveniently left out anything relating to his dashing good looks, which was clearly the real reason for the award.

“We are thrilled to host an actor of James Franco’s caliber at the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. His multi-faceted talents coupled with his contributions to LGBT film both in front of the camera and behind the scenes have helped shine the spotlight on LGBT cinema and a filmmaker’s right to free expression.” The Ally Award presentation will take place on Saturday, April 27th, at the Olympia Theater at Gusman Center in Downtown Miami, following a showing of the film “Out In The Dark” at 9:15.
