I can’t speak to the “private thoughts of any other individual” since I am not privy to them (thank goodness), but I am entitled to my own “private thoughts” concerning the outward reaction of someone to me. I would disagree with your assertion that I displayed “limited tolerance,” because I didn’t say anything that would reveal the aforementioned thoughts. You may be mistaking “tolerance” with “acceptance,” which are two different concepts. You don’t have to like someone to tolerate their behavior, and some behavior that is intolerable is exhibited by people we love; the two are not mutually exclusive. Your subtle characterization of me as racist suggests an unfamiliarity with the difference.

News Flash, a public thoroughfare is not your house, nor are the private thoughts of any other individual therein your business. It is among an individuals rights and their prerogative alone to decide what is and what is and what is not a pleasantry to view. No threat or intrusion to your well being or welfare exists here, other than your own projection. Your not so subtle reference to the predominance of race at the latter event further defines your imposition as to what is and what isn’t symbolic of the limited tolerance you seem to practice and believe in the words printed here. ]]>
