….WH Auden once said that, “evil is unspectacular and always human and shares our bed and eats at our own table.” We protest the war machine when it is in a foreign land, but we pretend not to notice when Lockheed Martin and JP Morgan-Chase manage HUD in a manner that makes crime and drug trafficking increase in our neighborhood. Indeed too often, a HUD grant or related foundation award buys our silence or that of our local leadership or Congressional representatives. Or in the case of Barney Frank, former chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, we overlook his involvement in the financial sector’s looting of the economy and pensions of Americans thru the instrument of mortgage-backed securities…because he’s gay. Truly sad to honor Barney Frank simply because he’s gay. He should be in jail. Honor those who serve the country and community respectfully…not those like Barney Frank that have fleeced it. This is a criminal. RAISE YOUR STANDARDS!!!
