Dear Editor:
RE: Kress – Fighting Cancer With Food
I wanted to share my appreciation for the nutrition column written by Andy Kress in a recent edition of Florida Agenda. It covered the topic of
fighting cancer through diet. Several months ago, I was diagnosed with cancer of the bladder, and while my condition was successfully treated surgically, I have had my eyes
opened by the information in the Kress column.
No only did Mr. Kress explain that we could alter the progress of disease through the foods and minerals we consume, he suggested that the disease itself might be a by-product of our fast food mentality and crappy diets. I had to admit that I was guilty as charged in not paying attention to the kinds of foods that I was eating. My weight was out of control right along with my portion size and fatty food content. It is not only possible, but also highly likely, that my cancer was diet related. From this point
forward, thanks to Mr. Kress, every morsel I put in my mouth is going to be helping my body heal itself.
As the editor of Florida Agenda, I wanted you to know that this sort of information is valuable and utilized.
