WILTON?MANORS, FL – Performer Russ King returns to South Florida as his acclaimed character, “Miss Richfield 1981,” for two live shows in Wilton Manors. The engagement follows two sold-out South Florida performances last March. Miss Richfield 1981 will perform her new show, “2012—We’ll All Be Dead By Christmas!!,” Feb. 17 and 18 at The Manor Restaurant and Nightclub in Wilton Manors.
In this year’s performances, King, as “Miss R.,” offers a celebratory take on the impending rumored Mayan apocalypse and gets audiences ready for Armageddon through songs, videos, and
audience activities.
Miss Richfield’s national appeal includes well-received appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Today on NBC,” “Cake Boss” on TLC, and “Weekends with Samantha Brown” on the Travel Channel. Most recently, King starred as Miss R. in a national television commercial for Orbitz. Her live performances have received critical acclaim and “The New York Post” selected Miss Richfield 1981 as “the must-see act in Provincetown [Massachusetts].”
As an official part of the Winter Party kick-off events, Miss Richfield will raffle off a vacation package with proceeds benefitting Winter Party, “the hottest winter in the world.” The raffle prize includes a trip for two to Provincetown this summer, including airfare, hotel, and tickets to see Miss Richfield’s P-Town performance.
