Snow White Trash
The world premiere of “Snow White Trash” runs January 7 through January 28, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Drive. Don’t miss this hilariously naughty romp. After escaping death at the hands of the Evil Queen, Snow White arrives in a strange land surrounded by “the Dwarfs” — a sexy redneck family who have secretly arranged Snow’s marriage to the incredibly hunky (and very gay) Prince. Will Prince convince himself that he likes girls long enough to marry Snow and inherit the kingdom? Will Snow White’s new friends be able to save her from the Evil Queen? How will Snow White react to mullets, leather, porn and “Magnum P.I.”? Tickets: $25. Purchase tickets online at www.infinite-abyss.com or call 954-678-1496.

Broward House’s “Spirit of Hope Awards” Luncheon
Tuesday, January 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Dapur Asian Tapas and Lounge, 1620 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. Come join Broward House as they continue to honor some of this community’s finest. This year’s Spirit of Hope luncheon will honor and adding to our already distinguished list of “Hope’s Heroes” the following individuals: John Zieba & Cliff Mulcahy (owners, Rosies Bar and Grill), Julie Slater & Karen Carroll (owners, Chic Optique), Lambda Men’s Brotherhood (“Leather Masked Ball), Marc Silverstone (owner, Equilibrium, promoter “Toy Story”), Drew Miller & Kevin Murdoch (GLBX & Broward House Supporters), and others. These businesses and individuals went out of their way in 2011 to not only support Broward House, but the HIV/AIDS population in South Florida in general.
