Broward Humane Society Pet Adoptions – Dec. 1, 2011

Posted on 02 December 2011

Age is just a number, so please don’t pass me up just because I grew up.  My name is Corky and I’m a 14 year young, 10 pound, female Shih tzu mix who is great with people of all ages and I get along with other pets.  I enjoy playing and going for walks.  Will you give me a home for life

?

I need a home too!  I’m Wasabi (ID# A434877) a 10 week old, male Siamese mix who is playful and will entertain for hours.  I got adopted, but soon returned because my owner was allergic.  I’m ready to go home today, so please make my wish come true and give me a home for life.

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $135 for dogs 6 months and younger. The $85 fee for cats 6 months and older is currently being waived and for kittens has been reduced to $50.  The fee includes spay/neuter surgery, preliminary vaccinations, microchip and registration, heartworm test for dogs and feline leukemia test for cats and more. The adoption fee for rabbits is $20.00. For more information call the shelter today at 954-989-3977 or visit www.humanebroward.com to see who else is looking for a home for life. If you are over the age of 60, you may qualify to have part of your adoption fee waived, stop by for details.  The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, just a block west of I-95.  Adoptions open daily at 10 a.m.

If you have a pet that needs to be spayed or neutered please call the low-cost spay/neuter hotline at 954-463-7729 or email spayneuter@hsbroward.com. Prices start as low as $15 and kittens can be as young as 8 weeks!
