Rugby Superstar in Town to Fight Bullying

Posted on 13 October 2011

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Rugby superstar, Ben Cohen will be at a fundraising dinner to aid the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation, the world’s first foundation dedicated to raising awareness and funds to combat bullying wherever and to whomever it occurs.

Cohen is considered one of the world’s greatest athletes with a rugby world cup champion and second all-time try scorer for England. He is first, however, among straight sports superstars to dedicate his philanthropic efforts to support LGBT causes.

On Sunday, October 16, Cohen will tell his story at a reception hosted by a group of Ft. Lauderdale community and business leaders at the residence of Val Marmillion and Juan Pisani.  A contribution of $150 or whatever one can afford will be accepted at the door.

To RSVP and receive directions to the event, call 954-560-3125 or email, JPisani27@gmail.com.
