FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Andrew Viveros, 17, was crowned prom queen last Friday night at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale. Viveros is a transgendered senior at McFatter Technical High School in Davie, FL, who is also the president of the school’s Gay-Straight Alliance. The same evening, Juan Macias, an openly gay senior graduating from McFatter, was crowned prom king.
