BATON ROUGE, LA – By a vote of 53-43, the Louisiana House opposed the “Safe Schools Bill,” which sought to fight bullying in public schools. The bill was fiercely opposed by the Louisiana Family Forum and Louisiana Baptists. The Louisiana Baptists wrote that, though they are against bullying, the bill “has been hijacked by the Gay and Lesbian lobby by creating special classes of persons who are often the victims of bullying.”
