Dr. Ferdinand Cabrera is the founder and president of Genesis Health Institute which specializes in Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine.

When did you open Genesis and why did you choose to do so here in Wilton Manors?

We opened the Genesis Health Institute in October, 2007, and have developed a community base of over 350 patients. For us, there really wasn’t a choice, we wanted to help those in the community in which we reside. It is very gratifying to see patients whose lives have been transformed by utilizing our services. Many of our patients have become good friends and we are grateful for the relationships we have built over the years.

How does the Health institute work?

Our Anti-Aging therapies are performed by a medical doctor, board certified in anti-aging medicine with a fellowship in integrative and functional medicines (true preventative medicine). As we age, starting in our late thirties, our hormone levels start to decrease and lack the balance they once had. We strive to have our patients feel the way they did in their late twenties/early thirties again, all medically supervised.

What would you recommend for improving over all body health?

Chelation therapy removes toxins and heavy metals from the body while improving blood circulation. Plaquex therapy removes plaque from the arteries decreasing heart issues and improves blood circulation to all areas of the body including the brain which assists in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

We also offer a Super Immune IV, which diminishes the onset of the common cold when administered early on … it also assists beautifully in helping a patient recover from a long weekend of festivity. Another IV offered is High Dose Vitamin C, which is used alone or in conjunction with traditional Cancer fighting treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation.

Definitely, Facial Aesthetics. You are also one of very few Doctors working with a Patient Access Program for patients with HIV

Yes, the makers of Radiesse work with our community and we promote the Patient Access Program, which allows patients with HIV to receive products sometimes for as little as only 20% of the regular cost.
