Missing Wilton Manors Man’s Body Found in Oakland Park

OAKLAND PARK — The body of Vincent Benigno, a Wilton Manors resident was found in a parked car on Wednesday morning, a police spokeswoman said.

No foul play is suspected in the death of Vincent Benigno, 35, said Alesia Furdon, spokeswoman for Wilton Manors police. The Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine what caused Benigno’s death, Furdon said.

Benigno lived in a townhouse in the 800 Block of N.E. 22nd Street in Wilton Manors and attended Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale. He was last seen at the Texaco Gas Station on Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors on February 10, 2011 and was reported missing on February 12.

His body was found in his gold Volvo in a parking lot on the 3600 block of Northeast 12th Avenue in Oakland Park.
