WILTON MANORS – Wilton Manors Police Department detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the double homicide that occurred last weekend at a residence in Wilton Manors.

At 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 26, officers were called to 2513 NE Eighth Ave., to conduct a wellness check. A sister of one of the victims had called police when her brother had not arrived to her home for the holidays. Police entered the residence and found two males dead inside.  

The deceased have been identified as Stephen Duane Adams, 52, and Kevin Mark Powell, 47, both of Wilton Manors. Police have identified a potential suspect and are pursuing leads and other tips. The bodies of the victims were transported to the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office where autopsies are underway.  

Investigators are looking for the victims’ missing vehicle, a black 2003 Saturn Vue with Florida tag 989VRL. The investigation continues.
