CONYERS, GA -

Pastor Jim Swilley, head of the Conyers, GA’s Church in the Now megachurch announced to his congregation that he is gay. Swilley founded the church 25 years ago and is the divorced father of four. He said knew he was gay since he was a young boy. He split from his wife, Debye, earlier this year. Silley said his wife knew that he was gay and helped him keep the secret for over 20 years. He said it was his wife that urged him to come out. He said that the reason he finally made his announcement was due to the recent empidemic of gay suicides plaguing the young people in the U.S.
