Holy Angels Church is having a dedication and solemn blessing of their new location on Sunday, May 23 at 11 a.m. right after their regularly scheduled mass service. The church is located at 2917 NE 6th Ave., next door to Candella’s Restaurant, across the street from Kmart.

For several years the church was on Wilton Drive, in the building that what was until recently Petals Panache. The original plan was to tear that building down and build condos, so the church had to move. After many months of being a gypsy church, they rented a space on Andrews Avenue just north of Oakland Park Boulevard for about two years. In part due to all the moves, the congregation dropped from over a hundred people down to about 20

people.

In November 2009, they made the decision to move back into Wilton Manors Since the move they have been growing again, averaging about 30 people a weekend, including 48 people for Easter service. They have now also added a 7 p.m. Saturday Mass, which is done in Spanish and English.
