Can I be your new best friend? My name is Bella (ID# 408467) and I’m almost 2 years old and weigh 4 pounds. I’m a Chihuahua mix who likes to snuggle and cuddle, but I’m going to do best in a home with older kids. I’m particular about my dog friends, so if you have a dog already, we should probably meet at the shelter first to make sure we get along. I’m just one of many dogs looking for a home this week.
If you prefer a feline friend stop by the shelter and meet Peter (ID# 421431) a very handsome, extremely cuddly 4 month old fellow. Peter is here with his siblings, Paul and Mary and they are all hoping to find loving homes. The adoption fee for kittens has been reduced to $50 and for cats over 6 months the adoption fee is being waived!

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $135 for dogs 6 months and younger. The fee includes spay/neuter surgery, preliminary vaccinations, microchip and registration, heartworm test for dogs and feline leukemia test for cats and more. The adoption fee for rabbits is $40.00 and ferrets are $55.00. For more information call the shelter today at 954-989-3977 or visit www.humanebroward.com to see who else is looking for a home for life.
If you are over the age of 60, you may qualify to have part of your adoption fee waived, stop by for details. The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, just a block west of I-95. Adoptions open daily at 10 a.m.
If you have a pet that needs to be spayed or neutered please call the low-cost spay/neuter hotline at 954-463-7729 or email spayneuter@hsbroward.com. Prices start as low as $15 and kittens can be as young as 8 weeks!
