Uber Giving Free Rides to Stonewall Pride Bars

“To celebrate life and love in all its forms,” Uber is providing free rides to and from various LGBT bars in South Florida include those participating in this Saturday’s Stonewall Pride Festival.

“This weekend we’ll be offering free rides to and from places around South Florida that are important to the history and culture of the local LGBT community,” Uber announed.

When booking an Uber ride to or from any of the following Wilton Manors bars, expect to receive an automatic credit for $20 against the cost of the trip.

  • The Manor | 2345 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305
  • Georgie’s Alibi | 2266 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305
  • Rosie’s Bar and Grill |2449 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305
  • Progress Bar |2440 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305
  • Rumors Bar and Grill | 2426 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors, FL 33305

Because Wilton Drive is physically closed for the event, Uber suggests using Progress Bar or Rumors Bar and Grill physical address for your ride order. You will need to exit the Uber car at Five Points in Wilton Manors, and walk into the Festival. To return home, Uber cars will need to make pickups at Five Points.

Additionally, in Miami Beach, guests at the following clubs are eligible for free Uber rides.

“Like people across the world, we were deeply shocked and saddened by the recent murders at a gay nightclub in Orlando,” Uber said. “The world is a brighter and better place when we are all free to be ourselves. And we want to bring people together, no matter who you are or where you’re from.”

The rides are limited to two rides per person, up to $20 per ride and is valid from noon local time on Friday, June 17 through midnight local time on Monday, June 20.
