List of 4th of July Celebrations

There are plenty of invitations for private parties and barbeques making the rounds of the gayborhood. For those wanting more public family-friendly entertainment, check out our neighboring towns. Each one has a special charm and are eager to use the 4th of July to expose historical moments and local talent.



July 4th Celebration – Fort Lauderdale Fort Lauderdale Beach 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm A1A and Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL www.fortlauderdale.gov The Las Olas Beach provides the gathering point for a day of family activities including music, beach games, contests, a kid’s zone, live entertainment, and a fireworks presentation off of A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. Move slightly north to Sebastian Beach for a gayer crowd and totally different games. Fireworks begin at 9:00 pm. Free.

July 4th Celebration Village Street Festival – Fort Lauderdale Plaza Bistro 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm 2900 Belmar Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304  All are invited to the 4th of July Village Street Festival in North Beach Village. Located just one block west of Fort Lauderdale Beach and just south of the Bonnet House, North Beach Village Resort’s Plaza Bistro is just steps from Fort Lauderdale beach and the perfect place to celebrate 4th of July with friends and the whole family. This event will feature family-friendly entertainment.

July 4th Celebration – Pompano Beach Pompano Beach Fishing Pier 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm 222 N. Pompano Beach Blvd., Pompano Beach, FL www.pompanobeachfl.gov Gather at the beach to listen to a live band and DJ tunes followed by fireworks at 9:00 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Sunrise Sunrise Sunset Strip, Sunrise, FL 9:00 am – noon, 954-747-4600  www.sunrisefl.gov Movie-themed floats will wind their way west along Sunset Strip from NW 12 Street to City Park, where the fun continues with free food, rides and kids’ entertainment. In the evening, join your neighbors for children’s activities, live music and a fireworks display. Parking and admission are free. BB&T Center, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, 1 Panther Parkway.

July 4th Celebration – Plantation Central Park 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm 9151 NW Second St, Plantation, FL  www.plantation.org The party starts at 9:00 am with a patriotic parade from the intersection of Broward Boulevard and NW 46 Avenue, traveling west to City Hall. Celebrate with evening activities at the ball fields, featuring live music and fireworks. Free.

July 4th Celebration – Tamarac Caporella Aquatic Center Noon – 04:00 pm, 9300 NW 58 St., 954-597-3660 Tamarac, FL  www.tamarac.org Start your celebration at the pool and cool off while enjoying music, cold treats, and giveaways throughout the day. $4/adult, $3.50/child. Grab blankets and lawn chairs for the city of Tamarac’s All-American Celebration featuring entertainment, rides, live music, food trucks, arts & crafts and more. July 4th Celebration – Weston Weston Town Center 10:30 am – N/A Main Street, Weston, FL  www.westonfl.org A hometown parade featuring local businesses, civic groups, schools, bands and organizations, with the theme A Weston 4th: Celebrating 20 Years.

July 4th Celebration – Old Fashioned Costume Flamingo Gardens , 9:30 am – 4:30 pm 3750 S. Flamingo Rd, Davie, FL  www.flamingogardens.org Celebrate Independence Day by stepping back in time with a 1950-1960s costume contest, music and old-fashioned games. Special reduced admission of $9.95/adult, $6.45/child.

July 4th Celebration – Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Town Hall 10:00 am – 9:20 pm 4501 N. Ocean Dr., Lauderdale-by-the-sea, FL 33308  www.LBTSevents.com Lauderdale-By-The-Sea will host its annual 4th of July celebration on July 4, 2016. The parade starts at 10 AM at Town Hall (4501 N. Ocean Dr.) The parade will be followed by a day of festivities at El Prado Park (4501 N. Ocean Dr.). Family Fun Day will feature a waterslide and fire truck for the kids, as well as other fun activities. Holiday fare will include hot dogs, lemonade and other.

July 4th Celebration – Miramar Miramar Regional Park 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm 16801 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL  www.ci.miramar.fl.us Celebrate with rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air as fireworks light the sky. Free.

July 4th Celebration – Hollywood Hollywood Beach , 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm Hollywood, FL  www.hollywoodfl.org A hometown star-spangled celebration with music and fun for the whole family at beachside locations, followed by fireworks offshore at 9:00 pm. Free.

July 4th Celebration – Coral Springs Mullins Park , 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm 10000 NW 29th St., Coral Springs, FL  www.coralsprings.org Join the city’s annual Fourth of July celebration with entertainment, family activities, food and a grand fireworks display at 9:00 pm. $3/parking.

July 4th Celebration – Davie Pine Island Multi-Purpose Center 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm 3801 Pine Island Rd., Davie, FL  www.davie-fl.gov Join in the community celebration with a day of family fun featuring arts and crafts for kids, live music, games, bounce houses, inflatables and more. Fireworks at 9:00 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Vista View Vista View Park 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm 4001 SW 142 Ave., Davie, FL Experience one of the best spots from which to view numerous firework displays across Broward County. From Vista View Park’s hill, the highest man-made elevation in the county, you can see the fireworks from Davie, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Sunrise and possibly Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood when the weather is clear. $1.50/person before 7:30 pm, $2/person after 7:30 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Deerfield Beach Main Beach Parking Lot 12:00 pm – 09:00 pm 149 SE 21 St., Deerfield Beach, FL  www.deerfield-beach.com Relax on the beach with family activities and refreshments. The fun continues into the evening with entertainment followed by fireworks at 9:00 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Gulfstream Park The Village at Gulfstream Park 501 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, FL www.thevillageatgulfstreampark.com Enjoy a free party in the park with food trucks, DJ music and entertainment for kids including airbrush tattoos, balloon artists, and a magician. Activities start at 2:00 pm. Grand illuminations fireworks show at 9:15 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Margate Margate Boulevard and U.S. 441 Margate, FL  www.margatefl.com Kick off the day with a parade starting at 9:00 am down Margate Boulevard. Evening celebration continues with live music at 6:00 pm and fireworks at 9:00 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Pembroke Pines Pines Recreation Festival Grounds 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Pines Boulevard, just east of University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL  www.ppines.com Gather family and friends to enjoy rides, music, entertainment, food and fireworks. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs. Free.



July 4th Celebration – Boca Raton Countess deHoernle Park, 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm 1000 NW Spanish River Blvd., Boca Raton, FL  www.myboca.us Put on your red, white and blue and head out for family activities and live music followed by fireworks at 9:00 pm. Free




July 4th Celebration – Aventura 09:00 pm – N/A Don Soffer Exercise Trail, Aventura, FL  www.cityofaventura.com Enjoy the annual fireworks display with great views from Country Club Drive and other areas.

July 4th Celebration – Downtown Miami America’s Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd., Downtown Miami 305-358-7550 Festivities are from 9 am to midnight. Free yoga sponsored by Baptist Health South Florida at the Tina Hills Pavilion 9:00 am -10:15 am. Budweiser Beer Garden for the 21 and over set (beer for purchase) goes from noon to midnight, kids’ zone from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm and grand finale for the day, fireworks at 9:00 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Miami The Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Highway, Miami. 305-442-6866 Celebrate Independence Day the good old-fashioned way with hot food, live music, games, crafts, and fun for the whole family. Old-fashioned Picnic Participation Requirements. Well-behaved pets on hand-held leashes no longer than six feet are welcome. $5 ages 12 and up; $3 ages 6-11; under 6 free.

July 4th Celebration – Miami 4th of July Spectacular at Black Point & Marina, 24775 SW 87 Ave., Miami 305-258-4092 Spend the day enjoying the parks’ bike and nature trails or fish from the shore. Grab a bite at the on-site restaurant, then spread a blanket and enjoy the waterfront fireworks display at 9:00 pm.

July 4th Celebration – Miami Beach Coca-Cola Presents Miami Beach Fire on the Fourth Festival, North Shore Park Bandshell, 7275 Collins Ave., 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Food trucks, free entertainment & live music, fireworks and more. 9:00 am Green Monkey Yoga on the Beach; 11:00 am Food Trucks; noon DJ; 5:00 pm Family Stone; 7:30 pm Grand Funk Railroad; 9:00 pm Fireworks. Free shuttles.

July 4th Celebration – Coral Gables Coral Gables Fireworks Display, Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables 855-666-1727  Celebration begins at 5:00 p.m. and features music by the Greater Miami Symphonic Band, concessions with food for sale and patriotic mascots to entertain the kids. Fireworks display is at 9:00 pm. Free parking at various locations around Coral Gables with shuttle service to and from the Biltmore.

July 4th Celebration – Hialeah Celebrates Independence Day at Ted Hendricks Stadium in Milander Park, 4800 Palm Ave., Hialeah. 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Free annual Independence Day celebration presented by Leon Medical Centers. Live musical entertainment by Los 3 de la Habana and DJ Nancy Starr. A Kid Zone where children can enjoy games and activities. Food and beverages for purchase. Parking and admission are free. Fireworks show, music and dancing. Bring blankets.

July 4th Celebration – Doral “America Through The Decades” Independence Day Celebration, Doral Central Park, 3000 NW 87 Ave., Doral 305-593-6600 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm Features pony rides, inflatable slides, live musical entertainment from The Clique Lucy Grau and Orquesta America, food for sale and fireworks display at 9:20 pm. No pets, alcoholic beverages or personal fireworks permitted. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.

July 4th Celebration – Coconut Grove 4th of July Celebration in Coconut Grove at Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Road, Miami. www.CoconutGrove.com The park opens at 6:00 pm. Enjoy music, family fun and fireworks display at 9:00 pm. Pack a picnic, blankets and lawn chairs encouraged.

July 4th Celebration – Coconut Grove Celebrates Independence Day the old-fashioned way, 3015 Grand Ave, Coconut Grove. 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Families can enjoy an afternoon of patriotic activities featuring: interactive games, live entertainment, concessions, an appearance by Lady Liberty and much more. Kick off with live entertainment at noon and continue with host DJ Daz at 3:00 pm. Guests can sign-up to participate in the 8th Annual Hot Dog Eating Competition sponsored by Cinepolis theaters. The Hot Dog eating Champion and the runner-up will have the opportunity to win $300 in prizes. Sign-up to be a today by sending an email to [email protected] Finish the night at 9:00 pm with Miami Florida’s most remarkable firework show at Peacock Park.

July 4th Celebration – Key Biscayne Fourth of July Parade, Crandon Boulevard from Harbor Drive to West Enid, Key Biscayne 305-361-0351 The parade begins at 11:00 am and features floats, bands and other marching groups. Float makers compete for a $1,000 first prize and $500 second prize. Fireworks are at Village Green at Galen Drive and Crandon Boulevard at sunset.

July 4th Celebration – North Miami Independence Day by the Bay FIU Biscayne Bay campus, 3000 NE 151 Street, North Miami. 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm 305-895-9840 Fireworks at sundown. Admission and parking is free. Blankets and lawn chairs recommended. No coolers, alcoholic beverages or personal fireworks allowed.

July 4th Celebration – Palmetto Bay 3rd Annual Independence Day at Palmetto Bay Municipal Center, 9705 East Hibiscus St., 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Patriotic spirit and pride in a day filled with fun for the entire family. This event is FREE to the public and features live music, fireworks, a kid’s fun zone, street entertainment, craft vendors, a zumba demonstration, face painting, balloon artists, and food and beverage vendors. 22-minute fireworks show, launched from Palmetto Bay Park, at 9:30 pm. The “Voice of the Miami Heat” Michael Baiamonte will emcee. The line-up of entertainment includes Cutler Stew, and an LED Robot Performance.

July 4th Celebration – West Kendall The Palms at Town & Country All-American Celebration, 8268 Mills Dr., West Kendall. 305-274-7982 Gift giveaways, prizes from retailers and restaurants, balloon artist 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, live band 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, fireworks over the lake starting at 9:15 pm. See the patriotic sand sculpture located by Haagen Dazs. Free.

July 4th Celebration – Kendall Fourth at the Falls, 8888 SW 136 St., Kendall 305-255-4570 Full day of family fun from noon to 8:00 p.m. with face painting, balloon artist, snow cones, airbrush tattoos, juggling stilt walker Uncle Sam and music.

July 4th Celebration – Homestead Race to the 4th Homestead hosts annual Independence Day Bash, Homestead-Miami Speedway, One Speedway Blvd., Homestead 305-255-4570 Event is from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Live music, carnival rides and games for kids, food for sale from food trucks and a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. Special thanks to Broward Family Life and Miami on the Cheap.
