Every Tuesday at 11am, the Coffee and Conversation event at The Pride Center at Equality Park is jammed packed with attendees and promoters. It is theatrically hosted by the focused and passionate Bruce Williams, Senior Services Coordinator. Bruce has procedures for welcoming “virgins” to the group, keeping presenters on point and short with their message, enthusiastically engaging in the 50-50 raffle and occasional other surprises. This past Tuesday, he was left speechless. A guest at this week’s Coffee and Conversation was Peter Kaldes. Peter is the new President of Impact Broward. Peter, along with his sponsor Vitas Healthcare, announced that Bruce Williams has been nominated for Impact Broward’s Lifetime Achievement award. Bruce was honored and humbled and thanked the Coffee and Conversation attendees. The awards will be presented at Impact Broward’s Community Impact Awards and Luncheon on October 7tth at the Renaissance Hotel in Plantation. For more information go to impactbroward.org.
