FORT LAUDERDALE – On Tuesday, September 11, the Stonewall National Museum and Archives will host Ronni Sanlo, author of “The Purple Golf Cart: The Misadventures of a Lesbian Grandma,” the memoir of a Florida woman who hid her gay identity for over 20 years. In the book, Sanlo, a retired professor at University of California/Los Angeles (UCLA) and director emeritus of the school’s LGBT Center, relates how she came out, ultimately lost custody of her two children, and became an LGBT rights activist. Sanlo is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. For more information, visit stonewallnationalmuseum.org.
